The 2026 Ford Bronco is a refinement year, not a redesign: the big news is a new 60th Anniversary Package, Wildtrak becoming a package on Badlands, a new Avalanche Gray paint, and an automatic transmission finally reaching the Heritage Edition. Nassau County buyers cross-shopping a leftover 2025 against a new 2026 will find real differences in colors, wheels and roof options. This guide walks through every change so you know exactly what you are getting.

Bottom Line: The 2026 Bronco keeps the same three EcoBoost engines and seven-trim structure, but shuffles colors, packages and body-style availability in ways that matter when you configure one.

  • New: Avalanche Gray paint, the Outer Banks 60th Anniversary Package, Wildtrak as a Badlands package, Dual Tops soft-top add-in
  • Gone: Azure Gray, Eruption Green, Carbonized Gray Metallic and Orange Fury paints, plus the Stroppe Edition 2-Door
  • The 2-Door body is now offered only on Base and Badlands

The 2026 Ford Bronco Lineup at a Glance

For 2026 the Bronco is offered in Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands, Stroppe Edition, Raptor and Heritage Edition. Black Diamond, Free Wheeling and Black Appearance are packages on Big Bend rather than separate trims, and Wildtrak is now a package on Badlands. If you want the full trim-by-trim breakdown, start with our complete Ford Bronco guide for Nassau County.

The biggest structural change is body style. The 2-Door is now available only on Base and Badlands. Big Bend, Outer Banks, Heritage Edition, Stroppe Edition and Raptor are all 4-Door for 2026, and the Stroppe Edition 2-Door has been dropped entirely.

Powertrains carry over: a 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder, a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 and the Raptor’s 3.0L EcoBoost V6, paired with either a 7-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic. See our 2.3L vs 2.7L EcoBoost comparison for the output numbers on each.

New Packages and Editions for 2026

60th Anniversary Package (Outer Banks)

Ford is marking six decades of Bronco with a package exclusive to Outer Banks. It brings leather seats with Alpine-colored inserts, a Wimbledon White-painted hard top, a Warm Alloy grille with two-color BRONCO lettering, a steel front bumper, anniversary graphics and a matching spare tire cover. It requires the Sasquatch Package and is offered only in Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat or the new-for-2026 Wimbledon White. We cover it in depth in our 60th Anniversary Package guide.

Wildtrak Package (Badlands 4-Door)

Wildtrak used to be its own trim. For 2026 it becomes a package on the Badlands 4-Door that bundles the 2.7L V6, 10-speed automatic, Sasquatch Package, HOSS 3.0 suspension with FOX internal-bypass dampers and the Black Appearance Package. Read our Wildtrak Package vs Badlands Sasquatch breakdown to see whether it is worth stepping up.

Heritage Edition gets an automatic

The retro-styled Heritage Edition can now be paired with the 10-speed automatic behind the 2.3L EcoBoost. Previously that engine came only with the manual on this trim. Heritage also picks up Marsh Gray and Oxford White paint, though the bodyside graphics are not applied on Oxford White.

Christopher Bahamonde
"The question we get most from Levittown and East Meadow buyers is whether to wait for the 2026 or take a 2025 off the lot. If you want Avalanche Gray, the anniversary package, or an automatic Heritage, it has to be a 2026. If not, the driving experience is the same and a 2025 can be a smart buy."

Should Nassau County Buyers Choose a 2026 or a Leftover 2025?

The engines, transmissions, G.O.A.T. Modes and body-on-frame hardware are unchanged, so the day-to-day experience on the Southern State or the sand at Robert Moses will feel identical. The 2026 case comes down to specification: you need the new model year for Avalanche Gray, Wimbledon White, the 60th Anniversary Package, an automatic Heritage Edition or the new Dual Tops setup.

A 2025 makes sense if you want one of the discontinued colors, a Stroppe Edition 2-Door, or simply the best deal on an in-stock unit. Safety hardware is consistent across both years; you can compare federal crash-test results for either at the NHTSA vehicle ratings site.

Either way, a Bronco holds its value well on Long Island, and the 5-year cost of ownership is similar between model years.
